Durand-Arkansaw had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 45.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 55-37 victory over the Mondovi Buffaloes. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 46th, while the Buffaloes are ranked 129th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Durand-Arkansaw's win bumped their record up to 15-4. As for Mondovi, they moved to 14-7 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Durand-Arkansaw Panthers duke it out with the Prescott Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Mondovi, they will face off against Boyceville at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
