Softball Recap: Kennewick Takes Down Ridgeline in a Playoff Battle

It's playoff time, and Kennewick had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with a 9-4 victory over the Ridgeline Falcons on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Lions sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Addie Logan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four runs (all of which were unearned) on six hits.

At the plate, Mayce Davis and Alayna Goodnight did most of the damage at the plate: Davis went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI, while Goodnight got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. That's the most runs Davis has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Addison Fielder, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and one double.

Kennewick was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .379 or higher in three consecutive matches.

Kennewick's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-13. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Ridgeline, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-8 record this season.

As of now, neither Kennewick nor Ridgeline have any future games scheduled.
