Soccer Recap: Hokes Bluff Takes a Loss

Hokes Bluff was the 9-3 winner over Etowah when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles fell just short of the Blue Devils by a score of 4-3 on Monday.

Lucas Applegate and Haylen Stanley scored all three of Hokes Bluff's goals, bringing their combined season tally to nine goals.

Hokes Bluff now has a losing record of 6-7-1. As for Etowah, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 3-11.

Looking ahead, Hokes Bluff will take on St. Clair County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Etowah, they will challenge Oneonta at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
