Eastern had lost four straight at home, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 7-11 to make it five. They lost 12-1 to the North Harrison Cougars. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Musketeers have suffered against the Cougars since May 8, 2018.

Bracie Jackson put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.
Jackson wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Sidney Patton, who went 1-for-3 with one run.
As for North Harrison, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-8. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won seven matchups by nine runs or more so far this season.
Like Eastern, North Harrison also got a great game from a two-way player: Kendall Christie. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. Christie was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two).
In other batting news, Kendal Maher was incredible, going 3-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024. Bryn Myrick was another key player, going 3-for-5 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Eastern has already played their next game, a 6-1 victory against Austin on the 24th. As for North Harrison, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Charlestown on the 27th.
