Basketball Recap: Wausau West Warriors vs. Marshfield Tigers
After flying high against Wausau East last Tuesday, Wausau West came back down to earth. The Wausau West Warriors took a blow against the Marshfield Tigers on Friday, falling 79-47. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-15.

Loss or not, Wausau West got some senior leadership from Ayla Christensen and Paige Anderson. Christensen posted 21 points, while Anderson had 14 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Christensen has scored all season.
Marshfield had a senior duo take command as Zaida Kolbeck almost dropped a double-double with 20 points and nine assists and Mckenzie Holm went 11-for-14 on her way to 23 points and five steals. Those nine assists set a new season-high mark for Kolbeck. Another player making a difference was Lauryn Katzenberger, who scored 11 points along with eight boards and three steals.
Wausau West's defeat dropped their record down to 8-16. As for Marshfield, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-11.
Wausau West does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Marshfield, they will head out to square off against Merrill at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
