Basketball Recap: Washington Takes a Loss

Washington lost against Bayou Academy two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Generals were beaten by the Colts 57-20. The Generals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Washington's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Bayou Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Washington will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Leake Academy at 7:45 p.m. on January 6, 2026. As for Bayou Academy, they will venture away from home to face off against Pillow Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Colts will be up against the Mustangs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 54 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
