Basketball Game Preview: Hamilton Lions vs. New Site Royals

The Hamilton Lions will head out on the road to take on the New Site Royals at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hamilton has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 16.

It was a proper cat-fight when Hamilton challenged Hatley on Tuesday. Hamilton lost 63-37 to Hatley.

Meanwhile, New Site didn't have too much trouble with East Union on Tuesday as they won 54-40.

New Site's win came from a few key players Hamilton will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Bella Green, who posted 15 points and four steals. She has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 13 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Chloe Chism, who earned 12 points and eight rebounds.

New Site has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.7 points per game. As for Hamilton, their loss dropped their record down to 3-12.

Hamilton was taken down by New Site 73-39 in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Can Hamilton avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
