Baseball Recap: Golder Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Golder challenged Rauner on Thursday. The Panthers came up short against the Wildcats, falling 9-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-5 two weeks ago.

Golder saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Liam Drysch, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one double. Drysch has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times he's played.

Golder's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Rauner, they pushed their record up to 3-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Golder will take on rival ITW David Speer Academy at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Rauner is set to face off against their familiar foe Bulls College Prep at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
