Softball Recap: Metcalfe County Takes a Loss

Metcalfe County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Sunday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 6-3 to the Monroe County Falcons. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, with their most recent defeat being a 15-0 loss last Thursday.

Metcalfe County's defeat dropped their record down to 7-15-1. As for Monroe County, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-18-1.

Metcalfe County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Monroe County, they will be playing at home against Clinton County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something the Falcons surely won't give up without a fight.
