Soccer Recap: Petal Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Petal can now relate to. They fell 4-2 to the Ocean Springs Greyhounds on Tuesday. The Panthers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Greyhounds from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Aubrey Bock and Kendall Robinson scored both of Petal's goals, bringing their combined season tally to nine goals.

This is the second loss in a row for Petal and nudges their season record down to 12-10. As for Ocean Springs, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season.

Petal does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ocean Springs, they have already played their next game, a 3-2 loss against Brandon on the 8th.
