Volleyball Recap: Wheatland Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Wheatland had taken Colfax down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. The Pirates lost 3-0 to the Falcons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-15, 25-23.

Lia Azevedo paced Wheatland's offense, picking up eight kills. Azevedo got some help from Miranda Wilke and her 16 assists. Azevedo was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Wheatland's loss ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-8. As for Colfax, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 18-5.

Wheatland wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Mira Loma on the 16th. As for Colfax, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Bear River on the 16th.
