Baseball Recap: Fredericksburg Makes It Five in a Row on the Road

Fredericksburg barely beat Bandera the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Fredericksburg put the hurt on Bandera with a sharp 16-5 win on Tuesday. Considering the Billies have won six matchups by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Sam Brewer, who went 3-for-5 with five RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Creek Frantzen, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

Fredericksburg's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-4. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Bandera, with the loss, they broke their eight-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-5-1.

Fredericksburg will have a chance to go back-to-back against Bandera: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
