Soccer Game Preview: Kolbe-Cathedral vs. Pomperaug + How To Watch

Kolbe-Cathedral hasn't had much luck against Pomperaug recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Cougars will take on the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

On Thursday, Kolbe-Cathedral came up short against Bunnell and fell 3-1. While losing is never fun, Kolbe-Cathedral can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut soccer rankings (they are ranked 87th, while Bunnell are ranked 25th).

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Pomperaug challenged Bethel on Saturday. The Panthers fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 1-0.

Pomperaug's loss dropped their record down to 6-6-1. As for Kolbe-Cathedral, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4-2.

Kolbe-Cathedral couldn't quite get it done against Pomperaug in their previous matchup back in September of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Cougars avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
