Basketball Game Preview: Gila Ridge Hawks vs. Red Mesa Redskins

The Gila Ridge Hawks will take on the Red Mesa Redskins in a tournament on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 72-41, which was the final score in Gila Ridge's tilt against Hamilton on Monday. While losing is never fun, the Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 155th, while the Huskies are ranked 30th).

Meanwhile, Red Mesa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. The game between them and Many Farms didn't end well, with Red Mesa falling 50-32.

This is the second loss in a row for Gila Ridge and nudges their season record down to 2-7. As for Red Mesa, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.
