Davie County lost against Reagan back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The War Eagles lost 3-0 to the Raiders. The War Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-19, 25-10.
Reagan's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brielynd Riddle, who had 11 digs and two assists. Another player making a difference was Katherine Brinkley, who had seven digs and two aces.
Davie County's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Reagan, they pushed their record up to 11-2 with the win, which was their 21st straight at home dating back to last season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Davie County and East Forsyth will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Reagan, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mount Tabor at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
