Basketball Recap: Kilgore Comes Up Short

Kilgore lost against Chapel Hill back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Kilgore Bulldogs took a 33-26 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chapel Hill Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, Kilgore can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 880th, while Chapel Hill is ranked 316th).

Kilgore has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Chapel Hill, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-8.

Kilgore will head out to take on Gilmer at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Chapel Hill, they will face off against Carthage at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday.
