It was another big night for Dyllan Thiebaud, who went 6 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 24 points and 2 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Nathan Hernandez was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, Floydada didn't have too much trouble with New Deal at home on Tuesday as they won 76-62. Given Floydada's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 362nd, while New Deal is ranked 1314th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Lockney's victory bumped their record up to 7-12. As for Floydada, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season.
Lockney was taken down by Floydada 91-45 in their previous matchup on January 2nd. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Floydada's Hagen Hinsley, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 18 rebounds. Now that Lockney knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
