Football Game Preview: Snake River Panthers vs. Preston Indians

The Snake River Panthers will face off against the Preston Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The last three games Snake River has played have been within three points, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Snake River took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 17-14 win over American Falls. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Beavers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Preston hadn't done well against Pocatello recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Indians managed a 12-7 win over the Thunder.

Preston didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Treston Day and Jojo Lumpkin. Preston is undefeated when Day posts one or more interceptions, but 0-5 otherwise.

Preston's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Snake River, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Things could have been worse for Snake River, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 30-14 loss to Preston in their previous matchup back in October of 2024.
