Baseball Game Preview: Dunn Earwigs vs. Duarte Falcons

The Dunn Earwigs will head out to face off against the Duarte Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Dunn is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.

Two weeks ago, Dunn was able to grind out a solid win over Coast Union, taking the game 6-2.

The team relied heavily on Hudson Von Der Lieth, who went 1-for-4 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Theodore Anderson also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Monrovia typically has all the answers at home, but last Wednesday Duarte proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 8-5. Eight seems to be a good number for the Falcons as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Dunn is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Duarte, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-12.
