Baseball Recap: Pinnacle Classical Academy Gets the Win

While Pinnacle Classical Academy's victory against Mountain View Christian Academy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Eagles had just enough and edged out the Mustangs 7-6 on Monday.

Pinnacle Classical Academy got a great performance from Holden Carroll as he pitched 4.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. Carroll has become a key player for the Eagles: the team is undefeated when he allows at most one hit, but 3-7 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Keegan McIntyre was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. Jackson Houser was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.

Pinnacle Classical Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mountain View Christian Academy only managed six.

The win got Pinnacle Classical Academy back to even at 7-7. As for Mountain View Christian Academy, the loss snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 10-3 record.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pinnacle Classical Academy will host The Master's Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lions have averaged an impressive 9.3 runs per game this season. As for Mountain View Christian Academy, they will welcome Bethel Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
