Basketball Recap: Meadow Bridge Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Meadow Bridge needed a changed in momentum after dropping five straight games and they got it from Kierston Rozell. The Meadow Bridge Wildcats simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat the Paden City Wildcats 55-8 thanks in part to Rozell, who went 9 of 14 on her way to 26 points and three steals. Her afternoon made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Lily Hayes, who posted seven points along with nine assists and eight boards. Those nine assists gave her a new career-high.

Meadow Bridge's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Paden City, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Meadow Bridge will face off against Greenbrier West at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Paden City, they will take on Parkersburg Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
