Soccer Game Preview: Chapin vs. Burges

Chapin is 2-8 against Burges since March of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Huskies will take on the Mustangs at 10:30 a.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Chapin had taken Andress down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Wednesday. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Eagles who were credited with the victory.

While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was El Paso who was credited with the win on Wednesday.

Chapin now has a losing record of 6-7-1. As for Burges, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 10-4.

Chapin couldn't quite get it done against Burges in their previous meeting back in March of 2025 as they fell 2-0. Can the Huskies avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
