Recap: Omaha North Vikings vs. Lincoln Southwest Silver Hawks
The Omaha North Vikings entered their tilt with the Lincoln Southwest Silver Hawks with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Omaha North took down Lincoln Southwest 62-46 on Thursday. For Omaha North, this counts as revenge for the 63-60 loss Lincoln Southwest walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.

That makes it three consecutive games in which Strong has scored at least 25% of Omaha North's points. Deandre' Harper was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.
Lincoln Southwest's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Braden Frager, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds. The match was Frager's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Karter Chamberlain, who scored seven points along with five rebounds.
Even though they lost, Lincoln Southwest were working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Omaha North's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.8 points per game. As for Lincoln Southwest, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.
Omaha North will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Omaha Central at 10:15 a.m. on December 29th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nebraska (Omaha Central is ranked 79th, while Omaha North is ranked 60th). Lincoln Southwest will be home for the holidays to greet Pius X at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Pius X's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
