Baseball Recap: Bishop McGuinness Takes a Loss

Bishop McGuinness was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 13-3 to the Cornerstone Charter Cardinals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-4 last Tuesday.

Bishop McGuinness' defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Cornerstone Charter, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-7.

Coming up, Bishop McGuinness will face off against Leadership Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Villains' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 7.9 runs per game this season. As for Cornerstone Charter, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Bethany Community at 6:00 p.m. on the 22nd.
