Recap: Central Valley Warriors vs. Beaver Bobcats

It was a good run, but the Central Valley Warriors unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 63-51 to Beaver. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Central Valley in their matchups with Beaver: they've now lost five in a row.

Brady Mayo was his usual excellent self, scoring 22 points along with six assists and five rebounds for Beaver. That makes it ten consecutive games in which Mayo has scored at least a third of Beaver's points. Another player making a difference was Junior Marino, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.

Central Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Beaver, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central Valley will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Hopewell at 7:30 p.m. on February 9th. As for Beaver, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Blackhawk at 7:30 p.m. Blackhawk has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 29.
