The Forest Hill Falcons will venture away from home to square off against the West Boca Raton Bulls at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Forest Hill is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.

Forest Hill's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over Santaluces. The game was the first time the Falcons have beaten the Chiefs on their field since March 30, 2022.

The result came thanks to Ryan Gonzalez's shutout, as he gave up just a hit and racked up seven Ks. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in eight consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Forest Hill got a big performance out of Yampiel Chavez, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Chavez has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. Nicholas Castro also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Forest Hill always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .513. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Santaluces only posted an OBP of .095.

Meanwhile, West Boca Raton came up short against Columbus on Thursday and fell 8-4.

West Boca Raton saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Drew Sucoff, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Forest Hill is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. West Boca Raton has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.

Forest Hill beat West Boca Raton 6-2 in their previous matchup back in April of 2016. The rematch might be a little tougher for Forest Hill since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
