Basketball Recap: Saline Piles Up the Points Against Lincoln

Saline came tearing into Tuesday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 58-19 win over the Lincoln Railsplitters. The Hornets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 23 points or more this season.

Saline pushed their record up to 13-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.3 points per game. As for Lincoln, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Saline will host Dexter at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Dexter knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Saline likes a good challenge. As for Lincoln, they will be playing at home against Huron at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
