Baseball Recap: Pleasant Grove Takes a Loss

After soaring to 14 runs the game before, Pleasant Grove was a bit more limited in their match on Wednesday. They came up short against the Midfield Patriots, falling 14-2. The Spartans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Patriots earlier this season, when they won 21-2.

Lester Pickett made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run. That hit marked the first that he got this season.

Pleasant Grove now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Midfield, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-13.

While Pleasant Grove had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
