James Welch put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in May on Saturday. He wasn't messing around, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. The pitching appearance was his third straight with one or fewer hits.

Welch's strong effort led Washington Academy over Mount View and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
