Soccer Game Preview: Garces Memorial vs. Frontier

The Garces Memorial Rams will head out on the road to square off against the Frontier Titans at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Last Tuesday, Garces Memorial didn't have quite enough to beat Stockdale and fell 2-1. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 691st, while the Mustangs are ranked 181st).

Meanwhile, Frontier was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Liberty, falling 4-0. The matchup was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly the Titans struggled afterwards.

Garces Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 5-7-4. As for Frontier, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 5-7-4.

Garces Memorial came up short against Frontier in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, falling 2-0. Can Garces Memorial avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
