Baseball Recap: Century Has No Trouble Against Winona

Century won the last time they faced Winona and things went their way on Thursday too. The Panthers blew past the Winhawks 11-2.

Carter Simonson was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Aiden Yochim, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Century's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Winona, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Century will face off against rival Mankato East at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Winona is set to challenge their familiar foe Albert Lea at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
