Recap: Shanley vs. Grand Forks Central
The Shanley Deacons had a rough outing against Moorhead last week, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. Shanley strolled past the Grand Forks Central Knights with points to spare this past Friday, taking the game 63-52. That's another feather in the cap for the Deacons, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
The victory bumped Shanley's record up to 11-12. Grand Forks' loss pushed them down to 11-13.
Shanley will square off against Valley City on Tuesday. Coming off of a win even when the odds were against them, Shanley has to be feeling especially confident with the MaxPreps rankings on their side for this one. As for Grand Forks, they will go up against West Fargo on Tuesday. Coming off of a loss in a game they were expected to win, Grand Forks now face the more daunting task of proving themselves against unfavorable odds.
