Volleyball Game Preview: Central Arkansas Christian Mustangs vs. Cossatot River Eagles

The Central Arkansas Christian Mustangs will face off against the Cossatot River Eagles at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

On Thursday, Central Arkansas Christian made easy work of Maumelle Charter and carried off a 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now won four in a row.

Central Arkansas Christian can attribute much of their success to Alyssa Jansen, who had nine digs and three aces. Jansen is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last six games she's played. Spencer Matteson also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Central Arkansas Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in seven consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Cossatot River got the win against Harmony Grove on Thursday by a conclusive 3-0.

Central Arkansas Christian's win bumped their record up to 17-12. As for Cossatot River, their victory bumped their record up to 11-3.
