With a playoff win on the line, Robinson rose to the challenge on Thursday. They beat the Shepherd Pirates by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 3-1. Winning may never get old, but the Rockets sure are getting used to it with their 25th in a row.
Raelynn Van Zee spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits.
On the hitting side, Lexi Rosillo was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one triple. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one home run the last three times she's played.
Robinson's victory bumped their record up to 32-2. As for Shepherd, their loss dropped their record down to 26-11.
Robinson will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Pirates: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
