Kenwood entered their tilt with Morgan Park on Saturday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. They walked away with a 29-22 win over the Mustangs. This was payback for the Broncos, who suffered a 20-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

It was another big night for Kenyonte Louis, who rushed for 70 yards and two scores, and also threw for 196 yards and one touchdown on only 18 passes. A healthy portion of Louis' aerial production (86 yards to be exact) went to Lawrence Carr.

Morgan Park's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Reggie Gray Jr, who rushed for 66 yards and a pair of TDs. Ronald Smith Jr. was another key player, throwing for 233 yards while picking up 10.6 yards per attempt.

Kenwood's record now sits at 7-1. As for Morgan Park, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 5-3.

Coming up, Kenwood is taking a road trip to take on Phillips at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Broncos are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Morgan Park, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Simeon at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
