Baseball Recap: West Carroll Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for West Carroll's offense. They came up short against the Ashton-Franklin Center Raiders on Monday, falling 17-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Thunder of the 11-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.

West Carroll saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maddox Gendreau, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.

West Carroll dropped their record down to 1-1 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Ashton-Franklin Center, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Carroll will welcome Newman Central Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ashton-Franklin Center, they will be playing at home against Alden-Hebron at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
