Volleyball Recap: Pleasant Hope Takes a Loss

Pleasant Hope was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the New Covenant Academy Warriors. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Pirates of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-9, 25-18.

Lily Lambeth paced Pleasant Hope's offense, picking up seven kills. Lambeth got some help from Abigail Fitzlaff and her 15 assists.

Pleasant Hope now has a losing record of 8-9-3. As for New Covenant Academy, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 14-1-2.

Pleasant Hope didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Seymour on the 26th. As for New Covenant Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Fordland on the 26th.
