The Lamar Raiders will be playing in front of their home fans against the Magnolia Heights Chiefs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Magnolia Heights took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Lamar, who comes in off a win.
Lamar can now show off three landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They claimed a resounding 49-7 victory over East Rankin Academy at home. With Lamar ahead 28-0 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Lamar's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Wyatt Bond, who threw for 203 yards and four touchdowns while completing 88.2% of his passes. Tripp Morrow was another key contributor, picking up 83 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Meanwhile, after some red-hot offensive attacks in their last three matchups, Magnolia Heights finally came back down to earth on Friday. They fell just short of Starkville Academy by a score of 12-10.
Lamar's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Magnolia Heights, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.
