Basketball Recap: Crowley Takes a Loss

Crowley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 91-19 loss at the hands of the Boswell Pioneers. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 440th, while the Pioneers are ranked first).

Boswell's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Camille Williams, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and ten boards. That's the most points Williams has posted since back in November of 2024. Haleigh Jackson was another key player, going 8 of 10 en route to 21 points along with seven rebounds and six steals.

Crowley's defeat dropped their record down to 14-13. As for Boswell, their victory was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 31-2.

Crowley will face off against Mansfield at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Boswell, they will challenge Mansfield Legacy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
