Basketball Game Preview: Neptune Scarlet Fliers vs. Colts Neck Cougars

Neptune is 8-2 against Colts Neck since January of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Neptune Scarlet Fliers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Colts Neck Cougars at 1:00 p.m. Colts Neck took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Neptune, who comes in off a win.

Last Thursday, Neptune was able to grind out a solid win over Ocean Township, taking the game 39-30. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Scarlet Fliers.

Meanwhile, Colts Neck unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 55-45 to Red Bank Regional on Thursday.

Neptune couldn't quite finish off Colts Neck when the teams last played back in February of 2022 and fell 58-55. Can Neptune avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
