Basketball Game Preview: Jefferson Grizzlies vs. Half Moon Bay Cougars

Jefferson hasn't had much luck against Half Moon Bay recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Jefferson Grizzlies are taking a road trip to face off against the Half Moon Bay Cougars at 6:00 p.m.

Jefferson is headed into Wednesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Friday. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 47-44 heartbreaker at the hands of Burlingame. While the Grizzlies didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Panthers 13-9 in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Half Moon Bay ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They managed a 67-63 victory over Carlmont. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cougars.

Half Moon Bay's win bumped their record up to 15-6. As for Jefferson, they now have a losing record at 10-11.

Things could have been worse for Jefferson, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 71-53 loss to Half Moon Bay in their previous meeting back in January. Can Jefferson avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
