Baseball Recap: Tulia Comes Up Short

Tulia and Idalou squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Tulia had to settle for second. They came up short against the Wildcats, falling 12-4. The Hornets' loss continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Tulia saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was David Abeyta, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI.

Tulia's defeat dropped their record down to 14-11-1. As for Idalou, their victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-5-1.

While Tulia had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
