Recap: Columbia Wildcats vs. Ridgevue Warhawks
After flying high against the Skyview Hawks last Friday, the Columbia Wildcats came back down to earth. Columbia suffered a tough 43-23 defeat at the hands of Ridgevue on Tuesday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Columbia has scored all season.
Ridgevue was led to victory by Jacotah Thomas and Myra Martinez. Thomas scored 11 points, while Martinez scored ten points along with four steals. Martinez continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Hollund Miller, who scored seven points along with three steals.
Columbia has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. As for Ridgevue, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-6.
Columbia will be playing in front of their home fans against Vallivue at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ridgevue, they will head out on the road to face off against Skyview at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Skyview is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
