Basketball Game Preview: Harbor Springs Rams vs. Elk Rapids Elks

Harbor Springs hasn't had much luck against Elk Rapids recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Harbor Springs Rams will venture away from home to challenge the Elk Rapids Elks at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Harbor Springs took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They blew past Grayling 66-20. The Rams have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Elk Rapids beat Cheboygan 41-33 on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Elks.

Elk Rapids has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.2 points per game. As for Harbor Springs, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.

Harbor Springs beat Elk Rapids 48-41 in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Harbor Springs since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
