Volleyball Game Preview: Northside Patriots vs. Carrollton Trojans + How To Watch

The Northside Patriots are taking a road trip to face off against the Carrollton Trojans at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Northside will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Northside is headed into the contest having just posted their closest win since August 26th on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Glenwood.

Northside had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 17-25, 25-17, 15-12.

Meanwhile, Carrollton earned a 2-0 win over Heritage on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Hawks: they've now won five in a row.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Carrollton took both sets by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-10.

Carrollton's win came from a few key players Northside will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Olivia Sims, who had 12 assists and two aces.

Carrollton was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in August.

Northside's record now sits at 13-15. As for Carrollton, their record is now 16-18.

Northside came out on top in a nail-biter against Carrollton in their previous matchup back in August of 2024, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Patriots since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
