Basketball Game Preview: Nicholas County Grizzlies vs. Shady Spring Tigers

The Nicholas County Grizzlies and the Shady Spring Tigers will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Shady Spring took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Nicholas County, who comes in off a win.

Nicholas County took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. In a tight game that could have gone either way, they made off with a 59-58 win over Hoover. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Grizzlies as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Shady Spring was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 55-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Summit Christian Academy. One positive for the Tigers, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Shady Spring's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Nicholas County, they picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 2-4.

Nicholas County didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Shady Spring in their previous matchup back in February, but they still walked away with a 50-44 victory. Will Nicholas County repeat their success, or does Shady Spring have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
