Football Recap: Lewistown/Cuba/Spoon River Valley Takes a Loss

Lewistown/Cuba/Spoon River Valley lost against Bureau Valley back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Miners had to suffer through a 44-6 loss at the hands of the Storm.

Lewistown/Cuba/Spoon River Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Bureau Valley, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lewistown/Cuba/Spoon River Valley will welcome Hamilton/Warsaw at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Miners will be up against the Titans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 33.67 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Bureau Valley, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Illini West at 7:00 p.m. The Storm are facing the Chargers at the right time seeing as the Chargers are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
