Volleyball Recap: Holmes County Blue Devils vs. Bethlehem Wildcats
Holmes County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bethlehem Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.
Holmes County actually scored more points across those four sets (87-86), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 11-25, 25-21, 25-21, 25-20.
Lexie Taylor paced Holmes County's offense, picking up 13 kills. Taylor got some help from Alleena Koenig and her 29 assists. Brenlee Jones controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.
Holmes County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Bethlehem, their victory bumped their record up to 11-7.
Looking ahead, Holmes County will square off against Bozeman at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bethlehem, they have already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Geneva County on the 6th.
