Hartfield Academy waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the St. Joseph Catholic Bruins. Considering the Hawks have won 13 contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

JP Abt made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. What's more, he gave up only zero walks, the fewest he's had since back in February. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs.

In other batting news, Sam Oakley was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Henry Abt, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Hartfield Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .533. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as St. Joseph Catholic only posted an OBP of .250.

Hartfield Academy pushed their record up to 14-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for St. Joseph Catholic, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-6.

Hartfield Academy will have a chance to go back-to-back against St. Joseph Catholic: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
