Derek Joyner Delivers Best Effort of Season
On Friday, Hertford County got the W thanks in part to Derek Joyner playing the best football he has all season. Joyner rushed for 159 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries, and also threw for 38 yards and a touchdown. His longest rush was for an impressive 56 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Trevaris Jones's big game helped extend Northeastern's winning streak to seven on Friday. Jones turned in nothing short of a gem, throwing for 389 yards and four touchdowns while completing 82.6% of his passes.
Jones and Northeastern will square off against Manteo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Redskins, probably because Jones had a solid game then too: he threw for 157 yards and two touchdowns on only eight passes. Big Game from White As Holmes Fell 40-28
Holmes was sadly handed a defeat on Friday, but Naijhir White did his best to prevent it. Currituck County had no answer to White as he rushed for 169 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.9 yards per carry. White was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 63 yards.
Holmes now has a losing record at 3-4. White and Holmes will host First Flight at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Rimiez Williams Turns in Season-Best Effort
Hertford County was led to victory by Rimiez Williams, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Williams picked up 113 receiving yards and a touchdown. He got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 57 yards.
